How to Score a Discount on Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram

Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram discount

If you’re in the market for a new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle, you might be surprised to learn that you could be eligible for a great discount. By using either the supplier price (friends or family discount) or the Tread Lightly membership, you can get a discount on the purchase of a new vehicle.

The first option, the supplier price, is available to employees or members of an organization that has an agreement with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram. This is simply a pre-negotiated price set by the manufacturer. The dealership does not set this price. This discount is typically a fixed one percentage off the MSRP and can be a great way to secure the discount on your new vehicle.

The second option is the Tread Lightly membership. This membership is available to anyone for a small yearly fee and offers a range of benefits, including a discount on your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram purchase.

To learn more about these discount options and how to take advantage of them, check out this  YouTube video. With a little bit of research and effort, you could end up with a great deal on your new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle.

Friends Discount: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram

The first way to qualify for a Friends Discount is to have an extended family member or friend who works for CDJR or one of their partners. Typically, this may be aunts or uncles, cousins or friends that work for CDJR. They must log in to the FCA site and produce the control codes to use or give away to a friend or extended family member or acquaintance.

Employee Discount: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram

The Employee Pricing Program is for existing employees or retirees of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram. If you are an immediate family member of the employee you can qualify for the FCA discount. Immediate family members of a deceased retiree may also qualify.

Tread Lightly Discount

The last way to get a supplier price is by becoming a member of Tread Lightly. There is a charge to be a member but the savings with supplier pricing is worth the cost of the one time membership fee.  You must purchase the $100 membership.  The Tread Lightly site states:

To use the FCA discount you will need to follow the instructions on your membership letter by creating a profile on the FCA website and creating a personalized control number from the company code on the membership letter. When going to a dealer, you’ll need to provide that membership letter and control number to the dealer.

Exceptions

New Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, vehicles are eligible for the employee discount except for the Ram 1500 TRX, Dodge Charger SRT and Dodge Challenger SRT. However, you still need to find a dealer that will honor the supplier pricing. Some will not. If one tells you they won’t honor, don’t assume all dealers will not. You may need to call multiple dealerships before you find one that will do it.
